2PM sweeps real time music charts with “Hands Up”

Earlier today, 2PM finally released their long-awaited second album, “Hands Up“. The boys had already been sweeping search portals before its release, and they’re now sweeping the live music charts!

2PM were known for their brooding, sorrowful songs about heartbreaks and lost love, but they’ve decided to put that image aside this time with something more edgy and stylish to better fit the party atmosphere of summer. Fans have nicknamed it the ‘upgraded version’ of their debut track, “10 Points out of 10“.

“Hands Up” is noted for being the first ever ‘club style’ track from the boys, and it features a strong electronic sound with an addictive beat.  From start to finish, the song showcases 2PM’s charms to their fullest potential, and Sohee’s narration makes for a fun additional effect.

Aside from the title traack, the album features a slew of other refreshing tracks like Junho and Junsu’s self-composed songs, “Give It to Me” and “Hot“.

2PM will be making their comeback on June 24th through KBS’s “Music Bank.”  Are you ready to play with 2PM under the sun?  Everyone put your hands up!  And get your drinks up!

2PM releases Audio and Teaser for "Hands Up"

2PM to have a new variety show

As reported earlier, 2PM will be making a comeback on June 21st with their 2nd studio album. Now, it has been reported that 2PM will also be making a comeback on TV!

It has been two years since their last permanent spot on a variety show, and now 2PM will be making a comeback to the scene. The new variety show will be different than "Idol Show" and "Wild Bunny," in the sense that it will be a show specially produced for 2PM. For the show, fans will have chances to vote and comment on polls relating to 2PM members. Examples of questions asked include "who will get married first?", "who will be the best father?", "who is most willing to face a challenge?", and "who is the least patient?".

2PM members will be discussing the results of the polls on the show. Fans can participate in the polls at the following pages: 1, 2, 3, and 4. The show is expected to be aired on SBS E! TV in July.

2PM to release 2nd studio album in 2 weeks

Beastly group 2PM recently attended Coca Cola's 125th Anniversary exhibit opening that was held in Seoul. Interviews were conducted during the opening and the news of their Korean comeback has spread.

2PM has been active in Japan; they have been studying Japanese and promoting their most recent single, "Take Off." Their debut single did well on the Oricon Chart, placing a high 4th on Daily charts.

At the end of May, JYP revealed a short preview of 2PM's new song, teasing fans mercilessly.

The group will release their 2nd studio album, which is currently untitled, and will have the first teaser images revealed on June 13th. The actual album is set to be released on June 21st.

2PM celebrates their 1000th day since debut

On the 31st of May, 2PM celebrated their 1000th day anniversary as they updated their homepage with heartfelt messages dedicated to their fans.

Despite going through various struggles since starting in the music industry, 2PM individually left handwritten messages thanking fans for their support. Expressing their gratitude, Nichkhun started off by stating, "You've been through a lot~ But thank you for being by our side throughout it all! Take care always, and let's become rich together!! Fighting!"

Wooyoung followed suit with a lengthy post by stating, "Ddeuak~ 1000 days of 2PM already~!! We went through a lot and you've always been there for us...We're deeply moved♡ We're breaking sweat today as well to hear you shout our names! We'll work hard everyday till the end to hear you shout for us!! You'll be there with us too, won't you??^o^"

Keeping it short and simple, Taecyeon shared his greeting by saying, "1000th day!! So happy to be with you!!". In addition, Chansung expressed his thoughts by stating, "1000 days of 2PM! Thank you fans so much for being with us for 1,000 days, and let's have fun together for many more days to come!^^ I love you♡ "

Wishing to see more of their fans until their 10,000th day, Junsu revealed, "Let's celebrate 1000 days of 2PM together♡ Thank you so much for dashing along with us to this day, and see you there on the 10,000th day♡ Jun.K ALL The WAY." Junho further stated, "We've been together for 1000 days now^-^ Time flies real fast. Just like what we've learned from those past days, let's continue to be a couple that give faith and help to each other. Hottest fighting~!!^-^"

WGM Nichkhun & Victoria's 1 Year Anniversary Present From Chinese Fans

“We Got Married’s” Nichkhun and Victoria, nicknamed the Khuntoria couple, received a surprise anniversary gift from its fans from China. For a month, a bus ad congratulating the happy couple will roam the streets of Seoul and Kyeonggido.

Representatives of the Khuntoria’s Chinese fan club stated, “Last June, Nichkhun rode on a bus with Victoria’s ad to meet his bride-to-be for the first time, and that’s where we got the idea for their anniversary present.” They added, “With this ad, we hope even more people take interest in this lovely couple.”

The ad had a photo of both 2PM’s Nichkhun and f(x)’s Victoria as well as a congratulatory messages written in Chinese, Thai, and Korean. The message also thanked both celebrities’ management agencies, JYP and SM, and MBC for creating such a perfect couple. Nichkhun and Victoria appear on MBC’s “We Got Married” as a make-believe married couple.

2PM To Return With A New Album Later This Year

Taking a break to focus on their Japanese activities since late last year, 2PM is back in Korea, ready for the release of a new album expected for release sometime later this year.

A JYP Entertainment representative broke the news stating "2PM will begin working on their new album after returning from Japan May 21st, and are expect to release it sometime by the end of the year."

When asked about their album's concept in their recent CeCi magazine interview, Wooyoung hinted "we will become even more cool adults", while Junsu commented "You will be able to see our honest sides which has become closer to our original appearances."

2NE1, 2PM, BEAST, SHINee, TVXQ and Big Bang's facial expressions compared with cartoon characters

A hilarious compilation of idols vs. cartoon characters has surfaced on the internet and created a lot of buzz. 2NE1’s Minzy is being compared to a cute doll, while Wooyoung’s chubby cheeks are compared to that of a monkey. Going further down the list, the trademark smiles of Big Bang's Daesung, BEAST’s Yoseob, SNSD’s Jessica, 2PM’s Junsu and Chansung are being compared with various cartoon characters' expressions. SHINee’s Onew and Minho’s hairstyles look slightly similar to that of a particular Pokemon. Rounding out the list, TVXQ’s Changmin is compared to Spongebob Squarepants's Squidward and Big Bang’s Taeyang resembles Mashi Maro. However, it’s up to fans’ judgment to decide who fits which character. Netizens who saw this post left comments such as, "Woo Young really looks like a monkey," "I burst out laughing when I saw the Jessica-Cappy comparison," and "They all resemble the characters 100%!"

Nichkhun cooks spaghetti for Victoria on “We Got Married”

On the ‘Khuntoria’ segment of January 29th’s “We Got Married,” 2PM’s Nichkhun earned the nickname of ‘Chef Khun’ by preparing a spaghetti dish for his wife, f(x)’s Victoria.

Having created the tomato sauce from scratch, he revealed his satisfaction with the outcome in his black room interview. “Even I think it came out a bit nice. Although Victoria was full, she ate it all up right to the end.” Nichkhun completed his role as the caring husband by doing the dishes after wards as well.

Fans of the couple were also able to notice just how much more comfortable and closer they got after their trip to Thailand.  The two aren’t as hesitant in initiating skin ship anymore and express their affections for one another more often.

Later in the episode, Victoria visited the set of 2PM’s comeback stage with handmade lunch boxes, and Nichkhun greeted her with a surprised, but overjoyed smile.

In his black room interview, Nichkhun expressed how much her visit had impacted him by saying, “I hadn’t seen her in such a long while,  I wanted to give her a hug.”

When asked why, he replied, “Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to because there were other people around us.”

Nichkhun & Victoria exchange Christmas gifts

2PM’s Nichkhun and f(x)’s Victoria spent their first Christmas together for MBC’s “We Got Married.”

The two will be exchanging small, but meaningful gifts in celebration of the holiday. Last week, Nichkhun had prepared a ‘blockbuster-level’ event for his wife that included the help of his fellow 2PM members.  Unfortunately, the large-scale event didn’t get much out of a response from Victoria, leading him to go a different route this time.

He opted instead for a CD with a recording of a song he sang, expressed his genuine thoughts of her on it. Victoria showed a bigger response for this second gift, and expressed how touched she was by giving him a surprise ‘gift’ of her own in return.

The ‘gift’ that made Nichkhun’s heart flutter can be seen on the episode to air on January 1st, 2011.
