T-ara's Japanese showcase attracts 70,000 applicants

 

 

Proving how popular they are in Japan, T-ara's management agency confirmed that they managed to attract 70,000 fans to their opening showcase event on the 18th of June.

According to Smile Company, the agency handling the group's Japanese activities, "1,500 fans are being invited to the event, but there has been over 70,000 who have applied. It's a 46 to one chance on being accepted, but since it's a lottery, every fan has a chance."

The girl group is set to make a comeback on the 1st of July, following the release of their new track " Roly Poly". After which they will meet their fans in Shibuya AX Hall on the 5th of July for the exclusive showcase which will also feature other hits such as "Why Are You Like This", "I Go Crazy Because of You", "Yayaya" and "Bo Peep Bo Peep".

Currently, T-ara is reported to be shooting their new music video. At the same time, they are also preparing for both overseas and domestic activities.

T-ara’s Eunjung's ex-boyfriend

During a recent recording for KBS 2TV’s “Happy Together 3“, T-ara’s Eunjung confessed that she had a college-aged boyfriend!

She revealed, “Right before our promotions for ‘Bo Peep Bo Peep‘, I used to have a boyfriend.” (For reference, “Bo Peep Bo Peep” was released on November of 2009).

MC Park Mi Sun asked, “Was your boyfriend a regular college student?”, to which Eunjung replied, “Yes.”

She went on to confess, “Whenever my boyfriend would get mad, I’d do a cute dance for him.” Wanting to see an on-the-spot re-enactment, Eunjung complied to the MCs’ wishes and played pretend withPark Myung Soo by dancing a ‘zzangu’ dance for him.

T-ara can’t go on dates, despite management’s permission?

On the December 28th episode of MBC’s “Happy Day“, T-ara members revealed that since they’re steadily approaching their mid-twenties, they want to start dating.

The members revealed, “Our management permits our dating. We’ve even been asked to date!”However they complained, “We don’t have enough time to date.”

T-ara’s promotions for their new song ‘Yayaya‘ is making the group so busy, that members get 2-3 hours of sleep at best. And now, they are swamped with rehearsals for year-end awards shows.

The members also confessed, “During promotions, we’re always close with our senior and junior singers. But we don’t have time to meet separately. We can only watch each other’s television appearances and exchange messages.”

T-ara’s Jiyeon under fire for unprofessional stage manners

T-ara’s Jiyeon has been criticized for her stage manners during the group’s performance on KBS’s “Concert 7080” on December 26th.

Viewers have been expressing their disappointment with her blank face, and the insincere manner of how she performed the choreography.

Jiyeon appeared aloof through both performances of “Yayaya” and “Like An Indian Doll“, which eventually lead to KBS’s message board being flooded with discontented viewers.

One viewer commented, “I don’t know whether Jiyeon had personal issues, but she’s still a celebrity and it was uncomfortable watching her.  She really needs to become more professional.“  Others wrote, “T-ara needs to write an apology…,” and “I thought Jiyeon was a pro, but it seems I was wrong.  Was the 7080 concert not important enough for her?”

Online community site Instiz has also uploaded a video of the broadcast, heating up the controversy even further.

Core Contents Media addressed the issue with the following statement: “We haven’t checked anything regarding the issue, nor have we checked the message board.”

Due to her injury, Hyo Young required the help of Jiyeon to move around the filming set for KBS 2TV’s “Jungle Fish 2.”

T-ara to take care of Moon Mason for “Hello Baby”

In the past two seasons of “Hello Baby“, SNSD and SHINee each babysat one baby boy. This time around, T-ara will take on the challenge of caring for not one, but three kids!

The popular girl group will take care of Moon Mason and his two younger brothers, Mavin and Maden.

T-ara’s seventh and newest member Hwayoung (twin sister of Co-Ed’s Hyoyoung) will officially start her activities as a group member through this program. For those of you who are curious to see who she is, Hwayoung is the girl on the far right in the photo above.
